Professional Development/Certification

We’re finalizing a strategic plan to be implemented beginning in the fall of 2016. (Your suggestions are welcome!) Currently in the design stages:

  • Online database to document your PD experiences with MBA Research. You’ll soon be able to access an online report designed to support your local claim for continuing education units. Your report will include participation in all MBA Research sponsored events (e.g., webinars, workshops, Conclave, Teacher-Leader forum, and more) and other endorsed PD experiences. Participation data are being collected beginning June, 2016, with online reports and other enhancements planned for late fall.
  • College credit courses/seminars. We’re working with several low-cost, accredited colleges to offer online coursework to support certification and promotion requirements. Our target date for initial course offerings is late fall or early winter, 2016-2017.
  • Workshops: Beginning in June, we’ll be offering a full complement of local and regional workshops focused on curriculum and pedagogy. (Don’t miss the rollout of our ethical decision-making series that includes a significant number of free materials.)
  • MBA Conclave: It’s the premier professional development conference for teachers of entrepreneurship, finance, management, and marketing. Join the nation’s leading business and marketing teachers in Kansas City, MO, October 5 – 8. Details.
